Los Vegas Raiders Release 2 Veteran Players

The Las Vegas Raiders made a number of crucial roster decisions. Two seasoned players were released as a result of some of those choices.

Vernon Butler, a defensive tackle, and Demarcus Robinson, a wide receiver, were released by the Raiders, the team announced.

The transactions put the Raiders' active roster up to the 85-player limit set by the NFL, the team said.

The Raiders reduced their roster to 85 players by making these important roster adjustments. This must be done by every NFL team by this Tuesday.

Butler was one of the several defensive tackles the Raiders signed this offseason. But he failed to make any kind of impact in training camp.

Robinson was anticipated to fight with Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow for the No. 3 wide receiver position. Robinson simply didn't have a spot on the roster.
