Nina Nunes retires after her victory against Cynthia Calvillo at UFC San Diego

After winning the split-decision match at UFC San Diego earlier this evening, Nina Nunes, formerly Nina Ansaroff, declared her retirement.

In her women's flyweight debut, Nunes dominated Cynthia Calvillo and probably would have been rated by next week as a result,

 But she's choosing to concentrate on starting a kid with her wife, UFC double champion Amanda Nunes.

Nunes actually has a lot of momentum in the strawweight division in 2018. Claudia Gadelha was defeated at the end of a four-fight winning streak, establishing the fighter

Nunes said: "I believe I accomplished my goals as a fighter. It began as a hobby. All the way here I came. I'm going to concentrate on mentoring and helping those girls who struggling.

I want more babies, she added. I'm leaving to have another child as a result.
