The New Orleans SaintsĀ  released QB K.J. Costello

K.J. Costello, a former Mississippi State quarterback, was released by New Orleans, claims club analyst and reporter Nick Underhill.

Following the termination of his brief stay with the Chargers, Costello was invited to training camp by the Saints back in May.

Prior to Tuesday's NFL deadline, the New Orleans Saints have already started the challenging process of reducing their roster. Thats why this decision take.

Following a week in Green Bay, the Saints dismissed running back Devine Ozigbo and quarterback K.J. Costello on Sunday after their return to New Orleans. The team now has 83 contracts left.

Jameis Winston, the team's primary quarterback, suffered an injured foot late in training camp, keeping him out for a few weeks. As a result, the team signed Costello.

The Saints are now utilising Jameis Winston, Andy Dalton, and Ian Book.
